I have long since given up worrying about paying for everybody & his dog (literally) but I just get fed up with the sheer naivety and incompetance of those in power. When I moved here there was no DOC and MO ran it as a thiefdom. Unfortunately nothing much has changed as the DOC bicker and achieve nothing whilst the MO smile and carry business on as usual.
I foolishly thought it would all be different when we had a DOC who could rein them in. The adage "Little thieves are hung by the neck and great thieves by the purse" might work just work. I have never been the sharpest knife in the draw and how wrong I was. Sadly any voluntary unpaid position with an element of power seems to attract certain strange characters.
1. Those capable who have a unselfish desire to administer for those who elected them (fluffy and nice but rare people)
2. Well intentioned but out of their depth and with time on their hands. (Sweet people who cannot say yes or no unless directed)
2. Narcissistic personalities who crave attention and power they cannot achieve in the real world (very sad people frequently with sexual inadequacy issues)
3. Egocentric personalities who seek the position of power for selfish and corrupt purposes.(naughty people with whom you have to check your fingers after shaking hands)
You can make your own minds up what types we have on our DOC. Nobody to blame but ourselves as we elected these muppets but next time round we should have a clean sweep and also stop this buddy/buddy co-opting crap that just perpetuates the regime.
Now the DOC and MO have decided that the buses are to be free

, can the rest of us who don't use the bus have a few freebies as well? Free gym, swimming pool, clubhouse facilities and ice creams on hot days would be nice. After all User pays are dirty words around here nowadays. Don't worry about the cost as the management fees will be going up anyway and the ice creams will be restricted to one per person daily. N.B. MO staff to get free one after 10 are handed out to keep accounting simple.
Following Sir Jeff the Peoples Protecter's advice and looking on the bright side, this might not be as bad as it seems

. I can have up to 12 resident bus passes so I wonder how much they will worth on the street when the new estates open around the corner. Better lay on some more buses
